Sanjay Dutt has paid a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan with a remake of the megastar's famous track "Thodi si jo pi li hai" as a major aspect of Ram Gopal Varma's following film Department.
The privileges of the song, which was basically part of the 1982 film Namak Halal, were acquired, and the number was given a contemporary turn by music director Bappa Lahiri for Varma's film.
"Enjoy countless others, I have consistently been an enormous devotee of 'Thodi si jo pi li hai' song from 'Namak Halal'. I felt that to picturise it on Sanjay Dutt could be a fitting tribute to Mr. Bachchan's examplary showstopper," Slam Gopal Varma declared in a proclamation.
The song is sung by Sukhwinder Singh, and has been funneled on Sanjay and pro choreographer Ganesh Acharya.
"Department", which releases Might 18, emphasizes Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in nexus roles.
