Ranveer Singh finalised for the Hindi remake of ‘Magadheera’

Ranveer Singh finalised for the Hindi remake of ‘Magadheera’: Finally it’s out! Ranveer Singh has pipped the likes of Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor to star in the remake of the blockbuster Telugu film Magadheera. Ranveer will play the role of a medieval warrior in the film.

Earlier there were reports of Ranbir Kapoor signing the film; the actor also confirmed that he is in talks with the makers but nothing was finalized. The remake rights are with the producer Vikas Bahl and director Anurag Kashyap. Since Ranveer is already working in Anurag Kashyap’s production Lootera, it doesn’t come as a surprise that he was offered the film.

In fact, we believe Ranveer Singh with his looks and long hair can do full justice to the role of a warrior. The Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl star will also undergo intense physical training for the role which demands some tough action sequences that includes sword fighting.

Producer Bahl confirmed that Ranveer is in Magadheera and said, “Ranveer is the best thing that could have happened to it. He has all the ingredients to be a passionate lover, a warrior and an entertainer.”

Magadheera is the 2009 Telugu blockbuster film starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal. The historic love story of the film is set against the backdrop of 17th century and also shows the two lovers in the contemporary times. The movie won many awards and was critically acclaimed for its technical brilliance.
