Shahrukh Khan introduces IFFI in Goa

Shahrukh Khan introduces IFFI in Goa: Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan was near the dignitaries who initiated the 42nd release of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on Wednesday.

The celebration which showcases some of the most fit cinematic works from globe over was hailed off at Ravindra Bhavan at Margao with the lighting of the stately light by the dignitaries and Shahrukh Khan.

The dignitaries and boss visitors at the occasion combined I&B Minister Ambika Soni, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, IFFI celebration executive Shankar Mohan and Bengali performing artist Rituparna Sengupta, separated from others.

Speaking to the amassing, Shahrukh showed his trademark wit when he offered to strip.

“I needed to wear my bermudas, but then picked to wear my suit. However I am still wearing bermudas beneath. Do you would like me to take my gasps off,” Shahrukh Khan had the gathering snickering.

The opening formality saw a display by the Shillong Chamber Choir emulated by the felicitation of the celebration jury. French filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier was met with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to the globe silver screen.

Then emulated the screening of the celebration's opening picture 'The Consul of Bordeaux'.

For the present year's IFFI in addition centers on 3D pictures. The 3D pictures to be showcased at the fest combine: Werner Herzog's The Cave Of Forgotten Dreams, Wim Wenders' German picture Pina, Takashi Miike's Japanese picture Hara Kiri and Ivan Sen's Australian picture Toomelah.

IFFI will close on December 3.
